Updated Skincare Routine (Summer 2017)

How come whenever I come and visit the states, the amount of stuff I use decreases by a lot? I’m used to having around 7 products to deal with but when I’m in the states, I just have three?

2K17 Night Skincare Routine

I think it’s finally time for an updated night skincare routine, after experimenting and reusing products that I have neglected, I think I’m going to stick with this skincare routine for a while now. So without further ado, let’s get into it.

Testing New Waters with L’Occitane

I’m not actually going to be reviewing about different waters that I have tested, although that would be a pretty interesting review. Moving on, I was on the hunt looking for new facial cleansers, specifically exfoliants when I bumped into the store L’Occitane. I never took a stroll in there because I was never interested, it wasn’t a brand that every body liked or freaked out about. But my face was desperate and I decided to go in.

All the different products and the scents blew my mind away, the scents varied from citrusy lemons to lavenders, I just didn’t know where to look. A lovely employee gave me a tour around the store, and showed me some of their best selling products. I was looking around and saw this lovely gem, “Exfoliant Lumière Minute” I asked the employee about it and she said that this exfoliant helps to get rid of all the dead cells and the nasty gunk out of your face, while also brightening it up. Does that not sound promising? I was hooked.

The back says that this should be used twice a week, avoiding the eye contour area but working it way down your neck. I squeezed some onto my hand and the texture isn’t like your average exfoliant. It has those tiny scrubs to help fully clean but at the same time they’re not too harsh on the face. It isn’t super creamy to the point where you’re asking yourself, “Is this thing even working?” and checking your face to see if it did anything. This exfoliant has a mixture of both. Scrubs to get rid of the gunk on your face, but creamy to make your skin feel smooth.

The color is an off white with an undertone of blue to it. It smells like a clean smell, the smell that makes you think, ‘Yup this will do it’s job.’ The packaging is super simple which is great for just popping it in your bag for when you’re traveling since it’s under the 100 mL point. (75 mL)

This worked pretty great on me, but not to the point where all my blackheads are magically gone. My face was much better because it got rid of all the oils and dirt from those long days. I would probably buy it when I’m traveling because it’s super simple and does not take up a lot of space in my bag.

Night Skincare Routine

i recently did a morning skincare routine, and two of the products that are shown above, the tea tree water and the clean and clear moisturizer, have  been explained in that post. so if you want a brief explanation of those products, check that post out. also, i have mentioned the dark angels from lush in a post a while back.

if during that day, my skin was not that oily, i would use this neutrogena face wash instead of the lush’s dark angel one. this has a great scent to it, and it will leave your face refreshed. it is oil free and helps to get rid of excess oils. once i’m done with that, i will spray some of my tea tree water on my face and let it dry.

after i have added on my clean and clear moisturizer, i will add this eye cream from bare minerals. i don’t really need it but i just like how it feels like under my eyes and on my eyelids. it’s very soothing.

next i apply the clean and clear acne spot treatment on my zits or pimples. this stuff is amazing, i use this daily and around 2 or 3 days, my zit is gone. it is such an amazing product and i just love it so much. i definitely recommend it when those unnecessary mountains decided to grow on your face.

so this is my night skincare routine, what’s your favorite product in your night skincare routine? thank you for reading. all the love.

Morning Skincare Routine

my morning skin care routine is very limited with products. since the night before, i use a lot of products, then i would use little products to my skin so it won’t get irritated. two of these products are great for oily skin but not for dry skin.

first off, i would start off by washing my face with warm water. then i’ll start washing my face with this cleanser. this is the clean and clear morning energy, this one is the bursting beads one, but they’re so many more off them. this is oil free so its great for us people. it really helps with excess oil and washing off any other germs. it will leave your face refreshed and will wake you up.

then i will use these blemish control pads from first aid beauty. these work as a toner for me as well, they really help with pores, breakouts, and controlling oil. this is such a great product, it leaves your face feeling so clean.

then i’ll moisturize my face. this is the clean and clear dual action. its oil free but it’s also great for dry skin. it won’t leave your face very dry because it is such a light moisturizer. i use this only for the summer, because my skin tends to get really oily.

that is my morning skin care routine, hope you enjoyed reading it. tell me if you have ever tried any of these products. all the love.
